Attivio Releases Open Source UI Toolkit for Rapid Development of AI-Powered Search Applications

UI Framework Gives Developers Flexibility to Build on Attivio, Elasticsearch, and Solr

NEWTON, Mass., March 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Attivio, , the leading AI-powered cognitive search and insight platform, today announced that it launched SUIT, a framework for rapidly developing search applications. SUIT (Search UI Toolkit) is integrated with Attivio's machine learning-based search platform and with popular Open Source search engines, including Elasticsearch and Solr. An Open Source application, SUIT provides the components required to create a search UI, enabling IT to quickly respond to the growing demand for search.

SUIT provides the core components – search, authentication, content security, API integration, results visualization - required to create a search UI within a day or two. SUIT saves an IT organization both time and money, letting them more quickly respond to business-user application requests without having to add resources to their teams, and enabling them to deploy scarce resources to other projects.

"IT resources in Fortune 1000 companies are under pressure to satisfy demand for search-based applications, and face a protracted time-to-market without tools to speed UI development," said Dorit Zilbershot, VP Product Management & Development, Attivio. "Because SUIT is so tightly integrated with Attivio and with Open Source search platforms, only one resource - a UI person - is needed on the application project, so they can deliver value to the business quickly and cost-effectively."

SUIT is itself an Open Source application, enabling developers throughout the Open Source community to build UIs using it, and to contribute new features and improvement to SUIT, enabling SUIT users to benefit from the cost-savings, time to market, creativity, and flexibility inherent to Open Source collaboration. Developers do not need to know Attivio, or Java or any language, other than REACT.

"Search is fundamentally a user experience. Developing that experience is one of the most complicated undertakings most teams experience. With SUIT, the general use case has been solved allowing them to focus on their user's journey," said Michael Cizmar, Managing Director of MC+A, an Attivio partner. "We are happy to have helped Attivio by contributing to this Open Source platform."

SUIT is available for use immediately on GitHub.
